Please read these terms before using CrimsonTickets. These terms describe the responsibilities of both buyers and sellers.
1. Agreement and operator
These Terms & Conditions govern use of CrimsonTickets (the “Platform”), an independent marketplace for fixed-price resale listings of Indiana University home football and men’s basketball student tickets. By creating an account, listing tickets, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
CrimsonTickets is not affiliated with, operated by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Indiana University, Indiana Athletics, or its ticketing partners. The Platform does not issue tickets or control admission.
2. Eligibility and accounts
CrimsonTickets is intended for individuals who can legally enter into a binding agreement and have an eligible Indiana University @iu.edu email address. We require email confirmation, and new accounts must supply a phone number. A verified university email does not independently establish that a person owns a ticket or has transfer rights.
You must provide accurate information, safeguard login credentials, and not share or sell accounts. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts reasonably suspected of fraud, unauthorized access, or violations of these Terms.
3. Listing and transfer requirements
Sellers may offer eligible Indiana home football and men’s basketball student tickets at a fixed listed price. There are no auctions or bids. Sellers represent that they lawfully own or control the listed ticket, have the right to transfer it, have not sold it elsewhere, and will comply with applicable university, event, and ticket-provider rules.
A completed payment does not itself deliver a ticket. After purchase, the seller must transfer the correct ticket through the official Indiana Athletics ticket system to CrimsonTickets. CrimsonTickets will then forward the ticket through the official transfer system to the buyer email associated with the order. Buyers must follow the official instructions to accept the transfer. CrimsonTickets does not independently guarantee that a ticket is transferable, valid, or accepted for admission.
Listings may be removed or transactions reviewed if a ticket is duplicated, misrepresented, unavailable, or restricted from transfer.
4. Pricing, payments and seller payouts
The seller sets the listing price. CrimsonTickets currently charges no seller platform fee; buyers may be charged a separate service fee, which is itemized and presented during checkout before payment. Applicable taxes or other charges, if any, will also be shown where required.
Buyer payments are processed by Stripe. Sellers provide their own accurate Venmo username in seller payout setup. After the seller transfers the correct ticket to crimsontickets@outlook.com through the official Indiana Athletics ticket system, CrimsonTickets verifies receipt and reviews the order before manually sending the seller payout through Venmo. Payouts remain subject to payment status and fraud or dispute review. Venmo fees, account requirements, and processing times may apply. Marking a ticket sent on the website does not by itself verify delivery or send money.
CrimsonTickets is not a bank or escrow service. Payment processor holds, reversals, chargebacks, and legal or compliance restrictions may affect fund availability.
5. Delivery issues, cancellations and refunds
Buyers should promptly report missing, incorrect, revoked, or unusable tickets and avoid confirming receipt before accepting the correct transfer. Sellers should respond promptly to fulfillment requests and provide accurate transfer information.
Refunds and cancellations are reviewed case by case based on the circumstances, the status of the official ticket transfer, available transfer records, applicable payment-network rules, and applicable law. Situations that may qualify for review include seller non-delivery, an incorrect ticket, a duplicate sale, or cancellation of the event. An approved refund may require ticket return or cancellation of a transfer. Unless required by law or expressly promised in writing, purchases are not automatically refundable because plans change, a buyer misses the event, or a game is rescheduled.
If a transaction is disputed, we may request order records, official transfer emails or screenshots, and relevant communications from the parties. We may delay, withhold, or reverse seller payout where permitted while a refund, chargeback, or non-delivery claim is reviewed, and we may cooperate with Stripe and payment networks in resolving the dispute.
6. Prohibited activity
You must not create deceptive listings, resell the same ticket more than once, impersonate others, manipulate prices or orders, misuse personal information, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with platform security, or bypass ticketing-system restrictions. You may not use automated tools to circumvent authentication or multi-factor verification.
7. Third-party services and intellectual property
Stripe, Venmo, Supabase, the official Indiana Athletics ticket portal, and other third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. CrimsonTickets does not control their availability or policies.
The CrimsonTickets brand, site design, and software are protected by applicable laws. Sellers retain ownership of their listing descriptions but grant us a limited permission to display and process that information to operate the marketplace.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The Platform is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, CrimsonTickets disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. We are not responsible for third-party ticket portal outages, changes in eligibility or transfer rules, event cancellations, or decisions made by venues and ticket issuers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limits on liability apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Changes, governing law and contact
We may revise these Terms and will post the revised version with an updated date. Material changes may require additional notice where required by law. Indiana law generally governs these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.
